Easily adaptable for home learning. This is a set of resources to introduce describing others and oneself. There is a lengthy PowerPoint (76 slides) that goes through describing height, build, hair and eyes with reinforcement activities, match up activities, gap fills, translations and reading comprehension. It then goes on to introduce 16 characteristics with match ups, snake sentences and reading comprehensions. The final activity is the creation of a wanted poster for students to complete. There is an 8-page worksheet that accompanies the PowerPoint. These resources are enough for several lessons and start from introduction through to pupils confidently using all of the new language, creating whole descriptions of themselves and others.

Easily adaptable for home learning. This resource introduces 15 school subjects with many practice activities. It introduces questions and answers about likes and dislikes as well as opinions/ reasons. It goes on to introduce talking about favourite subjects. There are pair work speaking activities, reading activities and writing activities. The reading activities include texts with richtig/falsch exercises as well as activities with open-ended questions. There is a school timetable that pupils could replicate and questions to answer about the timetable they see. Answers for all activities appear on the PowerPoint. By the end of the PowerPoint (68 slides) pupils will be able to write a paragraph about their school subjects (likes/dislikes, opinions and so on), either by using a given German template or by only English prompts. There is a lengthy worksheet, which accompanies the activities on the PowerPoint and a separate word search document.

Easily adaptable for home learning. This PowerPoint introduces 11 colours (rouge, rose, orange, jaune, bleu, vert, blanc, noir, gris, violet, brun) and there are lots of practice activities. The colours are introduced with the words and then there are lots of practice activities without the words. Slides 31 – 33 can be printed as these are colour by number activities. There are match up exercises, find the missing colours, unjumble the words, fill in the missing letters, very short sentences to copy and complete and so on. There is also a separate word search document.

The PowerPoint initially introduces food and drink items in categories, with practice exercises to follow each set. In total there are over 70 food and drink items and the resource is easily adaptable if you want to introduce less. The work in this pack of resources will certainly cover several lessons. There is a wide range of activities on the PowerPoint and an accompanying worksheet, with 15 different exercises. Also included in the pack is a word search, and an odd one out activity. The PowerPoint introduces questions about food likes and dislikes; a café conversation and then an activity for pupils to make their own conversations in pairs; reading comprehension exercises; and a ‘design your own menu’ activity in a step-by-step format. The PowerPoint goes on to introduce quantities with examples and practice activities as well as a shop/ market dialogue that pupils can then replicate in pairs. This resource is a comprehensive pack to ensure students can understand and successfully form the pluperfect tense. There are two lengthy Power Points, which will take several lessons in order for pupils to grasp and successfully conjugate the pluperfect tense of avoir verbs, both regular and irregular, as well as all être verbs, including reflexives. The Power Points can be used for pupils to use or copy to form accurate grammar/ resource notes in their books, which they can then refer back to when working individually to form this tense. On each PowerPoint there are lots of exercises for pupils to complete to check comprehension. The exercises are mainly translation, which are in line with the new GCSE specifications. There are worksheets to accompany each PowerPoint. There is also a further worksheet to complete after the two Power Points and this is aimed at higher tier students.

For pupils studying the Perfect Tense, this is a whole set of resources based on an exciting murder mystery. It includes, not only the murder mystery, but starter activities, two plenaries, extension documents, lesson plans etc. Pupils work in groups and compete against the other groups to solve the murder first. This set of resources was used for both Ofsted and internally reviews lessons which were rated as 'outstanding'. The objectives are: To enhance thinking skills in order to participate effectively in a team and reflect on learning. In each set there is plenty of practice of each item. Pupils are able to practice answers to question about what they wear and what other people wear/ are wearing (present tense only). There are various activities for them to complete and a lengthy worksheet that accompanies the PowerPoint. Also enclosed in the pack is a word search document. After practicing all of the clothes, the PowerPoint revises colours and goes on to explain adjectival colour agreements with lots of examples. There is a table that pupils can copy or it can be printed, as a reference for all future work with colour adjectival agreements. The translations have been created carefully and are in line with exam board exemplar materials. 2.
